Case Studies: RED BULL BEAT BATTLE
The Red Bull Beat Battle is a unique bboy and dance choreography competition based upon the 8 beat of hip hop.
8 DJ's each create an 8 minute music mix. Packaged up in original old school ghetto blasters, the mixtapes are sent out to 8 chosen crews (of 8 dancers) from around the world.
The crews then have 8 weeks with which to choreograph their show ready for the live performance in front of the judges and unforgiving audience.
The event has twice taken place in 2005 (Shepherd's Bush Pavilion) and 2007 (Hackney Empire) with huge success and packed out venues.
